In the first half of this year, sales of excavators and loaders, two representative products of China's engineering machinery industry, both achieved year-on-year growth of more than 10%.
The latest data shows that in the first half of 2025, major excavator manufacturers sold a total of 120,520 excavators, a year-on-year increase of 16.8%. Of these, 54,883 excavators were exported, a year-on-year increase of 10.2%. Experts indicate that after a brief decline in May, excavator sales both domestically and internationally rebounded in June, with overseas markets in particular experiencing a year-on-year increase of nearly 20%. Furthermore, in the first half of this year, my country sold a total of 64,769 loaders of all types, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%.
A representative from the China Construction Machinery Industry Association stated that since the beginning of this year, the country has implemented more proactive macroeconomic policies and continuously strengthened macroeconomic regulation. These policy effects have compounded, along with the stabilization and recovery of infrastructure investment in some regions, the gradual implementation of the two new policies, and continued export growth, all contributing to a positive rebound in market demand for the construction machinery industry. It is expected that the domestic market will continue its steady recovery in the second half of 2025. Coupled with the continued increase in international recognition of Chinese construction machinery, excavators are expected to maintain a steady growth trend throughout the year.
